पटियाला हाउस अदालत में सुनवाई के बाद अदालत ने आरोपी को 4 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया।
राजधानी दिल्ली में मेजर अमित द्विवेदी की पत्नी शैलजा के हत्याकांड में सोमवार को एक नया खुलासा हुआ है। इसके अनुसार आरोपी मेजर निखिल हांडा ने पिछले तीन माह में शैलजा को करीब 3300 बार फोन किया था। उधर, पटियाला हाउस अदालत में सुनवाई के बाद अदालत ने आरोपी को 4 दिन की पुलिस हिरासत में भेज दिया। निखिल को शैलजा की हत्या के आरोप में रविवार को मेरठ से गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
पुलिस के अनुसार शादीशुदा निखिल के अंदर शैलजा के लिए इस कदर जुनून सवार था कि वह उसे हद से ज्यादा फोन कॉल करने लगा था। पुलिस ने शैलजा के मोबाइल का कुछ महीने का कॉल डिटेल रिकॉर्ड (सीडीआर) निकलवाया जिसमें कुल 3800 कॉल या मैसेज मिले। इनमें से 3300 केवल निखिल के फोन से आए थे।
कार से सबूत मिटाने का प्रयास
पुलिस ने बताया कि निखिल की कार से काफी सबूत बरामद हुए हैं। जिस समय उसने शैलजा को चाकू मारा, उससे काफी सारा खून कार में गिरा। आरोपी कार लेकर मेरठ पहुंचा। रास्ते में एक टॉवेल से कार से खून साफ करने का प्रयास भी किया। पुलिस ने वह टॉवेल भी बरामद कर लिया है।
दीमापुर में हुई थी दोस्ती :
मेजर निखिल दिल्ली के साकेत का रहने वाला है। उसके पिता नेवी में अफसर हैं। इस वक्त निखिल की तैनाती नगालैंड के दीमापुर में है। दो महीने पहले तक मेजर अमित द्विवेदी और उनकी पत्नी शैलजा द्विवेदी भी दीमापुर में थे। निखित हांडा और मेजर अमित अच्छे दोस्त हैं। इसी वजह से दीमापुर में ही निखिल और शैलजा की भी दोस्ती हो गई।
शादी की कर रहा था जिद:
निखिल 2 जून को दीमापुर से छुट्टी लेकर दिल्ली आया और माइग्रेन का इलाज कराने के बहाने आर्मी बेस अस्पताल जाने लगा, क्योंकि वहां शैलजा पैर की फिजियोथेरेपी कराने आती थीं। निखिल ने अपने बेटे को भी इलाज के लिए बेस अस्पताल में भर्ती करा दिया। वह शैलजा से शादी करने की जिद कर रहा था। जब शैलजा ने मना किया तो उसने हत्या कर दी। वारदात को हादसे का रूप देने के लिए निखिल ने शैलजा का मुंह कार से कुचल दिया था।

शैलजा द्विवेदी हाउस वाइफ होने के साथ ग्लैमर वर्ल्ड से भी जुड़ी थीं। वह अमृतसर की रहने वाली थीं और शादी से पहले गुरुनानक देव यूनिवर्सिटी में लेक्चरर थीं। शादी के बाद मॉडलिंग की तरफ उनका झुकाव हुआ और मिसेज इंडिया अर्थ कॉम्पिटीशन में पार्टीसिपेट किया। मिसेस इंडिया अर्थ वेबसाइट पर दी गई शैलजा की प्रोफाइल के मुताबिक उन्होंने अर्बन प्लानिंग में एमटेक, जियोग्राफी में मास्टर्स और टूर एंड ट्रैवल मैनेजमेंट में बैचलर किया था। इसके साथ ही वे कैच एंड केयर नाम के एनजीओ से भी जुड़ी रहीं। इसके तहत वे जरूरतमंद गरीब बच्चों को खाली वक्त में पढ़ाती थीं।
